“I am so excited to share my prom outfits on the blog today. It actually feels a little odd to say that I have graduated from university and obtained a bachelor’s degree, mainly because I will be returning to school in the fall to complete a double major, but also because it feels like just yesterday I was at my high school graduation. Fast-forward 5 years later and here I am sharing two outfits from a most memorable prom that I could never have imagined.
“First things first: you actually don’t need a dress to impress every time. For the first evening, I chose this white exquisite Greta Constantine jumpsuit from Très Chic Styling (my all-time favorite boutique for prom dresses), and let me tell you, it was the perfect statement style piece. Beautifully crafted, this show-stopping neoprene design features a plunging neckline, with an adjustable tie closure, allowing you to dress it up or down, depending on the occasion. I could have opted for heels to complete a beautiful classy statement but because I was looking for an edgy factor and unconventional look, I paired the jumpsuit with ALDO sneakers and bold earrings from VDESIGN jewelry. Combining unexpected items together was a sure-fire win and resulted in this out-of-the-box look. Looking back now, I am so happy I chose this ensemble because, in all honesty, there’s a lot more to be said about “when you feel good, you look good” rather than “when you look good, you feel good“!
“The second evening festivities called for formal attire. There were many factors to consider when choosing my outfit for the event, but color, style, length, and comfort ranked high on the list. I never doubted in the little mission I had set out only three days before the event, but can I tell you how extremely fortunate I felt when I immediately fell upon this stunning yellow one-shoulder gown from boutique Tres Chic Styling?! While I had spotted several beautiful dresses from their selection, the moment I slipped into this Likely gown, I knew it was THE one. Stunningly sleek and stylish, I felt perfectly poised in this bodycon silhouette without the overly tight feeling. I loved how it complimented my complexion and hair color, that it was a perfect fit and needed no alterations whatsoever, which is pretty rare for a 5’5 girl. The dress was such a stunner on its own, it required very little effort to complete the look. It showed a touch of skin but still captured the essence of glam and elegance.”
“If you are dreaming of the perfect formal event dress, be sure to stop by Tres Chic Styling boutique where you will always find the latest styles and varied selections. They now have two locations in Montreal and Laval.”
