Last week I attended an Art Rally where I discovered a delightful art form that I absolutely have to share with you guys! Aside from the wine, food and mingling, the event was about exploring unfamiliar artistic fields through different stations! We went from discovering contemporary dance on ice, to assisting to a moppet show performed by a band theatre (which was pretty amusing I have to admit!), to enjoying the rhythms of a musical company, to laughing to stand up comics and finally falling in love with slam! What is slam? If you haven’t heard of it (I didn’t before last week!), it’s a competition where poets recite their original work. Imagine rapping but without the music! It all started in jazz clubs in Chicago back in the eighties! Interesting! Right? If you appreciate poetry like I do, you will be captivated by a slam session. The power of words and how they take you into someone else’s world and deep thoughts… Mesmerizing!
On to this week’s fashion! Because it’s definitely a must 😉 In my last post, I shared how much I enjoy wearing coats and how I find they set the mood for a whole outfit! Well, today I am back with the sublime mohair coat to prove just that! If you have one coat to get this winter, it is definitely a long oversized one, because you can sport it in numerous ways! You can play it cool with jeans and sneakers or flat booties on a casual day. You can go elegant and wear it over your evening outfit with high boots. Or you can pair it with your pencil skirt and blouse as you’re leaving for work. Don`t you love it when your clothes are as multitasking as you are 😉 This season, I would opt for either a grey or a camel colour. Both are neutrals that match most of my wardrobe but emanate a lighter look than the usual black coat. I chose to show you this beautiful mohair wool piece because it screams warmth and luxury. And I wore it over a simple black midi dress, both from Tres Chic Styling. This body hugging dress by Ronny Kobo (a brand that is so worth exploring!) fits fantastically well! It tucks you in and flatters every body shape! It’s simple and effortless, which makes it a great piece to wear to the office with a long blazer and to happy hour or a sexy dinner after work with an exquisite coat like this one 🙂
One coat, different looks! Which one do you prefer?
