Today is one of my best friends’ birthday: Queen Po! One of the most beautiful, generous and brilliant women I know! I have been blessed to have her in my life for thirteen years now and I simply cannot imagine my life without her! We met during our pharmacy studies at University of Montreal and have never left each other’s sides since. I have seen her become the strong, independent, powerful and stunning woman she is today! We have studied countless hours, struggled through exams and partied together during our university years… From backpacking in Europe, to a road trip in Portugal, to celebrating her crazy Bachelorette in Turks & Caicos we have together left our mark in many countries! We have been through thick and thin! Falling in love and trying to understand men (still trying!)… Going through breakups (a specific movie theatre was the spot where we shed all our tears)… Dealing with health issues (she cooked for me while I was in bed for days)… Venturing into new horizons (she is the true definition of a boss!) and pushing the other one to realize their craziest dreams (she waited for me while I jumped from an airplane and followed me to NYC for my fashion adventure)… Getting engaged (she called me from the bathroom of her hotel a few minutes after her boyfriend had popped the question! He doesn’t know this!)… Organizing her fabulous wedding (she was the coolest and most exquisite bride in town!)… To now preparing her baby shower (she is du in February 2016 and I cannot wait to love and spoil that gorgeous baby boy)! I am not only lucky to call her my dear friend… but also my beloved sister! Thank you for being you Po! Love you xxx
And one thing I did not mention… We are both fashion addicts and shopping freaks 😉 And I am sure she is going to love the look I am posting today! This safran coat is so marvellous that I couldn’t wear it with anything else but black to highlight it! I find it to be reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn’s style; youthful yet elegant! What makes it stand out is definitely the color! Yellow is very trendy this year and mustard even more this fall, as it is a deeper and richer tone. If you do not know Sinequanone, now is the time to discover this refined and modern French brand! You can find great pieces of their latest collections at Tres Chic Styling’s new prêt-à-porter boutique in Montreal. Because of this jacket’s striking color, the simple black Ronny Kobo dress was the perfect match. I also chose to wear leather mule for their classic flair and black gloves to accentuate the bows. I love how they bring a touch of femininity to the crêpe coat’s shapeless cut!
How do you find it? Are you ready to go yellow?
